As you study all the Bible says about heaven, you may find there are truths you’ve never heard before—or beautiful reminders that refresh your faith. Here are ten biblical truths about our eternal home.
1. Heaven is God’s dwelling place.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. (Matthew 6:9)
2. Jesus is preparing a place for those who trust in Him.
In my Father’s house are many rooms…. I go to prepare a place for you. (John 14:2)
3. Suffering and death do not exist in heaven.
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more. (Revelation 21:4)

4. Heaven is filled with worship and joy.
They will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. (Revelation 21:3)
5. Heaven is beyond human imagination.
No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9)
6. Heaven is described as a new and glorious city.
The city was pure gold, like clear glass. (Revelation 21:18)
7. Followers of Christ will be given glorified bodies in heaven.
We shall all be changed…. The perishable puts on the imperishable. (1 Corinthians 15:51-54)
8. Heaven is eternal.
They will reign forever and ever. (Revelation 22:5)
9. Heaven has no need for a sun or a moon.
The city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light. (Revelation 21:23)
10. Only those who trust in Jesus will enter.
Nothing unclean will ever enter it…but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life. (Revelation 21:27)
