Some people call it Holy Week. Others call it Passion Week. We might also think of it as Resurrection Week because everything that happened during Easter week was building toward that empty tomb on Sunday morning.
What if we lived every day of our life as if the Resurrection actually happened? Not just Easter Sunday but Monday through Saturday as well? You see, many of us acknowledge the Resurrection on Easter, but by Tuesday, we're living as if Christ is still in the grave.
When Jesus rose from the dead, He didn't just change history—He transformed our everyday reality. The Resurrection isn't just something we celebrate once a year; it's the foundation for how we face each morning.
Think about it. If Christ is risen, then your struggles at work have meaning. If Christ is risen, then the illness you're facing has purpose. If Christ is risen, then the relationships you're trying to repair have hope. The Resurrection guarantees us eternity with Christ, which means these earthly struggles are only temporary and the unending joy of heaven awaits us.
The women who went to the tomb that first Easter weren't expecting anything spectacular. They were just doing what was expected—bringing spices to anoint a dead body. But what they found changed everything—not just that Sunday but every day thereafter.
I wonder how different our life would be if we woke up each day with the same amazement those women felt—"He is not here! He has risen, just as He said!" What if we treated each 24 hours as resurrection hours?
This week, don't just celebrate the Resurrection. Live it. Because if Christ conquered death, then nothing you face is too difficult for Him. Every day of Resurrection Week reminds us that we serve a living Savior who walks with us through each moment, having shown Himself strong over death, the greatest problem we could ever face! Let’s live in that joy today!
