A Prayer for Guidance
God,
You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
You know the future as well as the past.
You alone, Lord, know the way I should take and the decisions I should make.
You have told me to trust in You with all my heart, without leaning on my own understanding and to acknowledge You in all my ways, that You may direct my paths.
Lord, I lay hold of Your guidance today and always.
Psalm 73 says: “You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.”
Take away my fear of tomorrow and give me confidence for today.
Grant me wisdom to make decisions that reflect Your plans for me.
Not my will, but Yours, be done. Not my race, but Yours, be won.
Like a shepherd, You will lead me in paths of righteousness.
I will thank you and praise You forever.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

A Prayer for Protection
Heavenly Father,
We lift up our eyes to the hills from whence comes our help.
Our help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
You will not allow our foot to be moved; You, our Keeper, will keep our families.
You will neither slumber nor sleep.
Lord, preserve us from all evil, preserve our souls, preserve our going out and coming in from this time forth, and forever.
In a dangerous world, Father, we need Your protection.
So do those we love.
We entrust them into Your care and keeping.
We ask not that You take them out of the world, but that You deliver them from the evil one.
You know the hairs of our heads and the days of our lives.
You know when we rise up and when we lie down.
We trust You for protection, provision, and the providential ordering of circumstances.
Lord, bless us and keep us. Make Your face shine upon us and be gracious to us.
Lift up Your countenance upon us and give us peace.
Grant us Your watchful care.
Amen.
A Prayer for Revival
Lord, will You not revive us again that Your people may rejoice in You?
Revive our land. Revive our leaders.
Revive our fathers. Revive our mothers. Revive our children.
Revive our churches. Revive our pastors.
Lord, send us fresh wind, fresh fire, and a fresh awakening.
We need seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.
We need a mighty wave of grace to push back the tides of evil flooding our land.
We plead for a blood-bought, Christ-honoring, Spirit-filled epoch as in the days of Asa, Jehoshaphat, Hezekiah, and Josiah, as in the days of Edwards, Wesley, Whitefield, Finney, and Moody.
We need hearts filled with Your love and rekindled with fire from above.
Lord, we know where the revival needs to start—in us.
So I pray:
Send a great revival to my soul.
Let the Holy Spirit come and take control.
Bring personal revival into my own life today, and may it spread to others.
O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years.
In the midst of the years make it known, and in wrath remember mercy.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
A Prayer for Uncertain Times
After thousands of years of history, Lord, our world should be better than it is.
Yet here we are, facing wars and rumors of war, nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom.
Famines. Pestilences. Earthquakes. Persecution.
False prophets deceiving many.
Lawlessness abounding.
Love growing cold—just as Jesus predicted.
Jesus, who died for our world and will one day reign over its empires.
In His Name we ask:
May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
May Your Word spread among the nations.
May Your plan for history move along its preordained course.
And may Your Name be exalted from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets.
Give us leaders who fear You.
Give us missions instead of misery; hope instead of despair; food and water where there is hunger and thirst; peace where there is war.
Bring healing to the diseased and freedom to the oppressed.
And hasten the day when the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ.
Amen.
A Prayer for Hope
Heavenly Father,
I thank You that in Jesus Christ, I have HOPE!
Thank You for the help You provide each day.
You are indeed my strength and provider.
I call upon You in times of need and You have never failed me.
Indeed, You are A very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
I am grateful that the circumstances in life provide an opportunity to know You more fully.
Each situation presents an opportunity to find the power, provision, and protection that is only found in God!
Help me to keep my focus on your greatness and your goodness so that I become more Christlike every day.
May my testimony be a light in this world.
I pray this in Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
